First of all, I am extremely sorry for being completely MIA the past few months. I will have another post (soon, I promise!) talking more about the details of what has been going on in my life and why it’s taken me so long to post.
Winter punched. Me. In. The. Face. After a tumultuous and shocking Thanksgiving, a busy Christmas, and a bone-chilling New Years, my body and my mind shut down.
While the New Year brings new things, it’s also a time to release old things or things that no longer serve you. Perhaps you’ll want to declutter the home, start a new job, or start a new semester in school.
In my experience, one of the most common breaths in yoga is Ujjayi Pranayama breath or victorious breath. It’s used to build heat within the body while performing the different asanas (movements) in a yoga practice. But why “build heat” in the body??
